Take Me Out to the Ballgame

By Brian | July 2, 2010 | Share on Facebook

One of the things I love about summertime is getting the kids out to a few baseball games, which is why I have a feeling these next few weeks are going to be remembered for quite some time:

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of streamrollers. It’s been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good and could be again. Oh, people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come…

While you’re at Nats-Mets we’ll be at Sox-Orioles, celebrating T’s 11th! A great way to spend a kid birthday. And we have plans for the New Britain RockCats (you should approve, they’re Yankees AA), and for adding our second new park of the year – we saw the Diamondbacks in Phoenix in April, are planning on Camden Yards next month. (And we’re still at lots and lots of kid games – All Star season continues!)
Love baseball, especially on a beautiful day, with the family.
And I will, as always, send my dad a picture from the game.

Brian, I’ll be at the Nats-Mets game tomorrow also (Section 407, Row L). Let me know where you’ll sitting and I’ll stop by and say hi.

My Dad took me to porn shops, liquor stores, and Penn and Teller. I took him to the Penn Relays and the Smothers Brothers. I begin to see the differences in our upbringing.
