Thursday, July 28th, 2011

Welcome back to Brain Celebri-teasers. It’s time to reveal the solution to our Week #30 puzzle:

Week #30
Category:Movies/TV
Difficulty:Hard
Clue:These guys have gleefully given greatness to our grandest genres with ginormous gigs of greatness
Answer:Neil Patrick Harris &
Matthew Morrison
OK, if you don’t watch Fox’s hit TV show, “Glee,” then this clue probably didn’t help you at all. But there’s still a possibility that you’ll recognize Neil Patrick Harris and Matthew Morrison, both highly successful actors and singers in their own rights.

The winner this week was Mike!

After thirty weeks, the standings are as follows:

Brain Celebri-teasers: Solution

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

Welcome back to Brain Celebri-teasers. It’s time to reveal the solution to our Week #29 puzzle:

Week #29
Category:Music
Difficulty:Medium
Clue:These young ladies are proof that young ladies can be very successful at . . . well, at entertaining young ladies
Answer:Brittney Spears &
Miley Cyrus
Brittney and Miley certainly seemed to be moving down parallel paths earlier in life, although Miley appears to have clung to the “straight and narrow” a little more successfully than Brittney. Who knows – I hear Brittney is making a comback of sorts now, producing even more music that I stand absolutely no chance of enjoying (or even, quite possibly, hearing). Let’s hear it for the non-target market crowd!

The winner this week was Ilya!

After twenty-nine weeks, the standings are as follows:

Week #28

Answer:George Steinbrenner &
Jerry Jones
When it comes to sports, there are only a few who would be recognized as “The Boss.” George Steinbrenner and Jerry Jones, of the Yankees and Cowboys respectively, would certainly qualify. George died one year ago this week (July 13, 2010).

The winner this week was Joe!

Week #27
Category:Politics
Difficulty:Hard
Clue:America is 235 years old today, and these two guys know a little something about that
Answer:Robert Byrd &

Just before Strom Thurmond and Robert Byrd died, they each held the title of oldest and long serving senator. Not that they actually remember as far back as 1776. But they were the last two senators that remember life before the light bulb
