Brain Celebri-teasers: Solution – Week #1

By Brian | January 6, 2011 | Share on Facebook

Welcome back to Brain Celebri-teasers. It’s time to reveal the solution to our Week #1 puzzle:

Practice Week #2
Difficulty: Easy
Clue:These two guys were known throughout the sports world for their biting commentary
Answer:Muhammad Ali &
Mike Tyson
Muhammad Ali was as famous for sparring with the likes of Howard Cosell as he was for his boxing in the ring. He was, after all, “The Greatest,” and was never shy about saying so. Mike Tyson, on the other hand, was more known for commentary about biting, rather than “biting commentary,” per se. Just ask Evander Holyfield.

The winner this week was Mike!

After one week, the standings are, well, rather straight forward:

4 Others0

Thanks for playing, everyone! Remember to check back on Monday for next week’s puzzle!

Oh, hell. There are points? If I had known that, I would have tweeted the answer. No credit for sending it in email?

I want four straight weeks of obscure scientific and political faces to make it even.

OK, class, Jeff is showing what happens when people don’t read the directions:

Readers will be asked to post their answers in the comments section on that post, and the first comment (as determined by timestamp) will be declared that week’s winner. The winner will receive one point for answering an easy puzzle, two points for a medium puzzle, and three points for a hard puzzle. Standings will be kept and a winner will be announced at the end of the year.

As for politics, you’ll have to wait until Week #3. For obscure politics, you’ll have to wait for Week #12…
