Ch-Ch-Changes – Week 2

By Brian | January 11, 2012 | Share on Facebook

Welcome back to Ch-Ch-Changes. Here is the puzzle for Week #2:

See if you can spot the EIGHT things I changed in this iconic photograph:

(Clicking on the photographs will make them bigger, and arrow left/right will toggle between them when they’re big)

One point will be awarded for each correctly identified change. Answers will be posted on Monday morning.

Good luck!

    1. Skyline replaced.
    2. Newspaper of guy #9 filled in.
    3. Dunkin’ Donuts box for smoking guys.
    4. Guy #6 lost his box.
    5. Guy #8 got a camera.
    6. Some baseball player added on far right.
    7. Guy #4 got a tie.

You have me stumped on 8.

Perhaps it would be better to limit us to one or two guesses per customer? I don’t know that this new format encourages late responses, as you were trying to do.

@Michael – to be honest, I didn’t think people would be so good at spotting the differences (there I go, underestimating my exceptional readers!). So I figured there would always be a few new ones to look for, even after folks commented.

I’m not sure I like the “two guesses per customer” idea, because people who did find all eight can’t claim credit for doing well.

But I do agree with you that this game is falling into the same “darn, I wasn’t first, so what’s the point?” model as the last game. Let me think about it some more – maybe I can make the e-mail solution work & then post everyone’s guesses each Monday…

Man, I thought the Photoshopping was going to be the most challenging part of this… ;-)

I kept all of the comments deliberately hidden before playing. Suggestion: moderate these posts so that comments don’t automatically appear. Then if you have time, you can allow through the discussion posts — or more likely, on Thursday you just approve ’em all.

    Anyway, my late guesses:

Babe on the girder, curiously not whoring, so you know it’s Photoshop

Dude in the middle has a Starbucks cup, but oddly isn’t me

Guy next to him is reading the Post

    MacBook running Mac OS -15.2

Girder is flying over a different city or part of NYC

Dude on the left has a different box? Also, he’s smoking a Lucky Strike, it was reefer in the original.

Lighting differences count as a change?

Guy next to babe has a flask of vodka in the original. Now that Babe’s there, it’s empty.

PS: your server appears to be floating in the Atlantic Ocean or based out of Halifax.

@Jeff – WordPress doesn’t allow you to moderate comments on a single post – it’s either all posts or nothing. I’m still investigating ways to make this work…

…and yes, the timestamps seem all screwed up. To be honest, I haven’t really looked into how to fix that (but I’ll put it on the list. Oy…..)

UPDATE: D’oh! Timezone is now a setting on the main dashboard. Fixed…
